Search the World Wide Web
Google and Yahoo are the most popular search engines, though there are many others.Ixquick is an alternative: it's a metasearch engine, which means it searches the search engines. Unlike some other search sites, Ixquick does not store a record of your searches.
Add search to your browser
Google, Yahoo and Ixquick offer search toolbars for your browser, to make it quicker and easier to search without first visiting their sites. Users of the Firefox browser can have a search box in the top right-hand corner that allows instant searches of a wide range of sites, from Amazon to Yahoo via dictionaries and eBay - another reason to try this excellent browser.
